  9. <p>The 928th TCG operated the C-119 under the 403rd TCG from January 1963 until it was redesignated the 924th TAG in July 1967, and later converted to the C-130A in September 1970. The group was transferred to the 440th TAW at same time. The 928th converted to the C-130H in 1988, and was upgraded to Wing status in October 1994.
